This post contains information concerning what's happening in our country. We are experiencing troubled times in the United States Of America and the reasons are complex. This will be more than a one part series with a lot of background information. I believe understanding it all at this critical time in US history is vitally important to our nation.
For many decades there have been those who believe that the United States should be a theocracy based on solely Christian religious beliefs. In recent decades in particular the iteration of those beliefs contain distinct White Christian Nationalist philosophy. Many groups and people espouse it. Part of it is the "Great Replacement" theory that white Americans are being replaced by POC. Tucker Carlson is an adherent to that false narrative. Also among the adherents are groups like Project 2025, Alec, The Heritage Foundation and many others. As was Dr. James Dobson.

The second piece of this theoretical pie is the White Christian Nationalist Movement. Which is a philosophy and belief system that a. We are and always have been a "Christian Nation". b. That only white Christians should lead America and be in charge of government. There are also elements of misogyny, anti gay and trans prejudice. Along with disregard for the rights of marginalized groups in general. We think of individuals like Nick Fuentes, The Proud Boys, or other hate groups leading the way. Unfortunately they are far from alone in their malice.

We have come to expect these individuals and groups to be a tiny minority of the population who unless they're drawing attention to themselves like Jan 6th we forget they exist. But their numbers are far larger than we expect and exist in almost every state.
Hiding in plain sight there exists an interwoven group of powerful believers in White Christian Nationalist philosophy. They're organized, and have powerful members in government, religious denominations and business. They're in the House of Representatives, the Pentagon, television and numerous places of influence. To be honest I was unaware of them until a friend of mine brought them to my attention. He had a confrontation with a member online and discussed it with me. Myself, other friends and him began to dig deep to do research. They're known as the Wallbuilders/Black Robe Regiment.
The modern day Black Robe Regiment is based on a myth. The myth that during the Revolutionary War that a group of black robed pastors played a huge part in defeating the British. Which is not true. A small part perhaps, but a big one no. Some of their history and founders.

Secondly is a group associated with them called CREC. The Communion Of Reformed Evangelical Churches. Which is where both groups become more than a little interesting.

Other members of Congress and well known individuals. None of the White Christian Nationalist groups but one list their followers on Facebook.
How many of us get up on Sunday morning and wave at a neighbor? A neighbor whose going to a church advocating for overthrowing the government as we know it. Tossing out the Constitution in favor of a White Christian Nationalist theocracy where only they have rights. CREC believes the 19th Amendment is incorrect and women shouldn't vote. Pete Hegseth believes that.
Wallbuilders believes only white people should govern America. Trans rights and gay rights are being diminished. Voting rights are being curtailed. The rights of immigrants to due process, deportation hearings, asylum requests are being ignored and violated, The right to freedom of assembly and protest has become an activity where we might be injured or killed. Freedom of speech is endangered Just ask Mark Kelly, Jason Crow or Elissa Slotkin. Universities, legal firms, media outlets and anyone who opposes what is happening are being threatened, bullied and coerced. Why now? That explanation and a great deal more information in Part Two
But we are in a true battle to preserve our democracy. To fill the breach with courage. We must stand tall for liberty. Now is the time.
